• The Farmhouse has 5 bedrooms (2 downstairs, 3 upstairs), 1 ½ baths and a large, fully furnished kitchen, dining and living rooms that make it suitable for large gatherings or a private, serene retreat.

• The house has heating, air conditioning, and comfortable plush mattresses to assure a restful night. Each room can sleep 2 comfortably.
Cedar Lake is a spring-fed, 16-acre lake that offers great fishing for large mouth bass, crappie and bluegill, as well as kayaking, boating and bird watching.

• Our day-to-day operations include chores…from caring for the menagerie of animals Bonnie seems to collect, including bucket calves, bottle lambs, cats, dogs, chickens and ponies, to feeding cattle and horses. We also regularly check pasture, checking water, taking out salt and mineral and fixing fence.

• Farm to table meals are nothing new to us! We raise our own beef, grow our own food in the garden, and practice sustainable agriculture. If you haven’t gotten to go to the garden to pick your supper, which may include lettuce, tomatoes, onions and green beans or corn, you are missing out! You’re welcome to come along and learn how all that food gets from the farm to your table in the most direct way! If anyone wants to learn how to preserve produce, you can help with whatever is seasonal, and then take some home to enjoy later.

• There is a TV and DVD player available for rainy days, as well as table games and a library for family time relaxing. Essentially, this is an off the grid vacation, as our reception at the farmhouse is not the best for cell phones or computers. There is Internet available at the lake house if needed.

• Pony play: Feeding, brushing, leading, riding or riding in the pony cart. All my ponies love attention and are happy to be loved on.• Horseback riding• Hiking – guided or independent

• Stargazing – our night skies are like diamonds on black velvet…Amazing!

• Wildlife observation…or vise-versa! We have abundant wildlife, from Wild Merriam and Rio Grand turkeys to deer, ducks and geese! Hunting is not allowed here on the original homestead, as we want to offer them a sanctuary, but it can be arranged on our other properties.

• The Middle Loup River is nearby and makes a great outing for young or old to either tank or tube down river. Too much fun!! Ask us about this.

• If you are a history buff, the Victoria Springs Cemetery is on the property and is rich with history from area settlers. The Custer County Historical Society in nearby Broken Bow offers a great deal of information and artifacts from Nebraska’s’ early days.
